I was walking around dbgphx and a friendly person, seeing my big camera, pointed towards to the bush and said to me, "There's a pretty and big bird in the bush right there!" In my head I was thinking, "Hmm, pretty and big!? What could it be?" I said to her, "Oooh let me see!" I looked in the direction she was pointing, and realized it was a Gambel's Quail! I told her, "Ahh it's a Quail! Thank you!" It's always nice when you have help from people with bird spotting and makes me feel like an expert when I tell them what it is. 😆 Anyway, here's a GQ photographed through a thick bush. Though not a completely clear shot, I like it because all that bushy foreground gives it a dreamy look. ✨ . . . . .

Brolga beauties, something that most bird photographers love to have in their collection. This was taken from a 4wd leaning across a person (with their permission) and I didn't really expect to get anything, but you gotta try, don't you? Birding has given me so many memories, that are tucked away in my mind and come tumbling out when I open an image and it is like it happened yesterday. Memories, if we had no memories it would be sad. Have a wonderful day.
