Made a huge mistake i think closing to remodel our cafe after having massive early success.
My café has been open now for 3 and a half months. Things have been going really well, (really positive reviews constantly) so well that we decided to remodel our kitchen/seating area to better improve work efficiency and have the atmosphere be better for our clients. Were closed 4 days and then 3 days (seperate weeks) sales have now been at an all time low for the past week. Trying hard to not stress ourselves out rn any advice?

Single Member LLC - Sold Biz in Asset Sale. Tax Confusion: What state do I report cap gain to?
Cliff notes: Schedule C filer. I operated my business in Wisconsin from 2018 until 2021. In the Fall of 2021 I moved to Minnesota - and closed my business. In 2022, I did sell the business for a (very small) sum of money... Roughly split 50/50 between equipment assets and goodwill. I am confused as to where I assign that income on the state level? I lived in Minnesota for the entirety of 2022. What I sold: (portable) equipment and goodwill. Not really tangible property the way, say, a house would be. But...also were I guess value tied to the location. e.g. buying "the brand" (expressed as goodwill - really only has value in the small community where the biz was located. Anyways, this honestly makes next to do difference on my taxes. Like, near $0. The amount is small and basically washed out realized stock losses.... Just want to do it right! (I have talked to an accountant about this but they seem equally confused about it...)

Pro Forma Numbers
What would be the best way to figure out pro forma numbers for a startup that has revenue generated from itemized invoices that will not always be the same? Would it be better to break it down to billable hours as a strict baseline?

I don't think I need to pay my sale tax fees, how do I file for a disagreement hearing? (Texas)
I opened a sales tax permit mid-2022 and renounced it late-2022 and early-2023. I opened it because I was trying to get my small business up off the ground and a certain event required one before signing up. Personal life came crashing down and I was not able to do anything related to the business, which is why I closed off the permit. Now I'm being charged over $1,000 in a jeopardy determination because I never filled out a "sales and use tax return" even though I did not make a single sale. I don't have enough money to pay it off without adding more penalties, and I do not know how to file for a disagreement hearing. I tried looking it up but it's all a confusing mess.

Are everyone's merchant fees up this much?
My 2022 merchant fees were up 44.7% from '21 while total income was only up .6%. I've never seen a single year increase like that. If I just take merchant fees as a % of total income it looks like i'm paying... about 4.86%. Is that about right? Plus my processing terminals are super clunky and slow. Can't really find any cheaper quotes from companies that will work with my POS software tbough.
