My husband has a hockey game the day I’m due.

I’m due with this baby on the exact day my husbands hockey season is set to start. 24 years ago my dad almost missed my birth because he was at his hockey tournament. I know baby likely won’t get here on that day but I find his circumstance extremely poetic LOL

Fart-friendly household

Ok i know this is really random lol but i just wanted to say that a very little thing that can often go very under the radar (but if VERY helpful to ur kids) is being a fart friendly household. Yes, farts are funny. Yes they are smelly sometimes and make silly noises. But nobody needs to be shamed, told to go to the other room to fart, etc etc. in my household we fart freely and then giggle and that’s it lol

Natural Consequences Of Your Actions: Grown Up Edition

Welp we’ve had a Caribbean vacation planned since October. My and my husband’s passports were expired and our kid needed a first passport. I did mine, I had him sign and notarize the form for our kid. Both of our passports arrived a few weeks ago. I had been bugging him to do his photos since November. I filled out the application for him. He literally just had to do photos. Guess when he sent in his application? Two weeks ago. We leave on Sunday. Guess whose passport has not arrived yet and will not arrive in time according to the helpline? Yep his. Guess who will be going on vacation anyway? Yep, me and our kid. Not mad about it because I’m sure he already feels like garbage but also not sorry.

Who has gotten pregnant while breast feeding?

I know it’s possible, I’m trying to get pregnant and my baby is about to turn a year but is still very strongly breast feeding… I also read that bf’ing can reduce ovulation. However, I am having my period regularly- not at the same time every month though. Anyways… who’s gotten preg while breast feeding, who got preg as soon as they stopped? Thanks!

I'm selling my old car because my partner bought a new one. We used this car for years, and I paid registration, maintenance and for the car itself. All I asked for was for him to pay for the fuel he used. And now we're selling it and he wants the money. Why? "Because you suck at saving babe" I don't suck at saving. I pay 90% of our bills and that's why I can't fucking save you absolute plastic bag of a human.

Let's talk about diapers

As a researcher at a Technical University and a father-to-be, I simply cannot accept the idea that since I was a baby myself, there has been no significant change to the way how parents handle pee-pee and poo-poo from their babies. So I am asking for two things: 1. Convince me that the disposable diaper like we know it is the best possible option that could ever exist. 2. Share your ideas on how cleaning a baby can be more convenient, faster, cheaper, and sustainable.
