Hiring my first employee (salaried, remote)... is Gusto the best option for payroll & benefits, irrespective of price?
This (and future) employee is remote, working from home or office in a state other than the company domicile. I just need something simple that: * is easy to use for the employee * does all the work for me w.r.t. determining and paying payroll taxes, etc. * can set us up with 401(k), health insurance, life insurance, etc. I'm not too sensitive to cost, I just want the best one. Local accounting firms aren't an option.

Electronic playing cards
This is just an idea I had that I don't think Ill ever execute so I figured I'd share it. The idea is to have electronic playing cards. Take a thin flexible electronic display, put it on cardstock, then power it with wireless RF energy. If the tech for harvesting rf energy would make the cards too big, instead they could be powered by very thin rechargeable batteries. There are 0.1mm thick rechargeable lipo batteries you could use. And then charge the deck with a separate charging device. Pic related would be the end goal here.

Basic Bookkeeping without any apps or software
Hello all. I’m pretty embarrassed to be asking this question but, I would like to know how to do bookkeeping for my family business, without buying an app or software but just good old pen and paper or spreadsheets. I’m not opposed to *ever* getting a service but for now I want to do it manually and really know what’s going on. Now I don’t expect anyone to break it down for me but I would appreciate any tip or resource that I could read. As you can imagine all the searches bring up ads for accounting apps and services. I am in the position to do it by hand for now, so if anyone can advise me just where to start, I’ll be grateful. I am good with excel and math and details. Thanks.

Question about where to buy wholesale clothing that’s actually stylish that I can put images onto.
Sorry if this isn’t allowed. It’s just I’m having a hard time finding clothing to buy wholesale that I am LEGALLY allowed to change (I’m creating and buying my own designs and putting them on clothing) that are actually cute and affordable. For instance I want to buy a bunch of different colored tank tops with lace on the top and put kawaii images on them. But I cannot for the life of me find a place that sells something like that. And if I do, it’s one shirt at a time and it’s a brand name item and I can’t resale them. So I am wondering if anyone on here does what I do, or at least has knowledge of where to go? If you help me that would be so incredible! And obviously remove if not allowed but I really really need help with this. Im at a stand still because of this issue.

Need advice on starting a small construction company with three people equally
As the title says, me and my two brothers are looking to go off on our own and start our own construction company. At first, We will be sub-contracting through a local design company. We will be splitting the company equally 33% and so I was wondering if creating an LLC and making all three of us member-managers, and then creating a bank account that pays us all out a salary is the best way to structure this would be. We would all be sharing work equally and then as we scale our growth and take on more jobs and expanding as money comes in we will be dividing work and jobs equally. Is this the best way to structure the business to start?? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

CRM between Whatsapp business and the API
Hi /r/smallbusiness! I have a small/medium business and I am in urgent need of a CRM (customer relationship manager) software. I currently use Whatsapp business for most of my communication with clients because my business is located in Mexico. I would like a CRM that I can use with Whatsapp but not have to use the API since that would mean i would lose the number for phone calls. It doesn't sound out of the realm of possibility for there to be a CRM that can basically just migrate your chats from the Whatsapp desktop app. Has anyone heard of something like this or an alternative? I appreciate any advice?

Need help verifying a company.
Hey everyone, I am a small business owner who has a logistics company. We deal with international companies all of the time but this time we are thinking of doing business with a company that we can't tell if they are real or not. The company name is Select Partners Europe and their website is [https://selectpartnerseurope.eu/](https://selectpartnerseurope.eu/) I keep going back and forth on if they are legitimate because the website is registered under the persons name but there is no phone number anywhere we only talk via skype.

Detailing or Landscaping
Now that I’m not married I want to start a side detailing business. After getting married, my partner and I want to open a landscaping business. Is one more profitable than the order or are they both equal? Does one have less legal things to set up than the other? Like SBA stuff? Thanks for your help!

Payroll Software & SBA Questions
I have experience running payroll thru ADP workforce. My father is opening up a parking garage/diesel mechanic location with fewer than 20 employees. Is it better to stick with the software I know or branch out and use QB payroll to maintain all things in one software? Or invest in a completely different software? Also, is it possible for us to have 10 employees under an LLC and have each employee report as self employed to not have to run payrolls or is this illegal? Finally, when does one involve an accountant? Like can you just stop by a CPA get all the info you need to start and then hire an Accounting Supervisor to maintain things until tax time for the CPA to swoop back in? Thanks for your help!

Advice for finding an accountant?
I'm not very happy with my current accountant and was wondering if you have advice on finding somebody better? Our current accountant is on retainer for $800/mo and does all of our bookkeepping + tax. I don't mind paying more for somebody who's more knowledgeable, but it's so hard to know how to evaluate them when I'm not an accountant myself. Are there any bigger firms that have generally high standards and access to more specialists for when specific issues come up? For people who have accountants they love--how did you find them? Or if you have accountants you DON'T love, what did you do and how can I avoid that?? Thanks in advance for any advice you can give!!
