Are Small Trucking Companies a Small Gold Rush?
I keep running into people who seem to do fairly well for themselves running small trucking companies. The other day I put the pieces together that these seemingly unsophisticated people are likely taking advantage of Amazon's needs for contract delivery and forming small trucking companies of 3-40 trucks. Is this a real thing or did I just dream this up? I am wondering if this is a niche gold rush. It seems like this is growing into a cottage industry which allows anyone with half a brain and some cash to get started.

Expenses for things prior to organization. (LLC) (Wisconsin)
I made two purchases for my business prior to filing the articles of organization with the state. First I bought some equipment with cash off Facebook marketplace. Second I bought the domain for my website. These were intended for the business but I am not sure how I can make it work with my books. Thank you.

LLC Taxes on Land Sale
I have an LLC with some land in it. I am planning on selling the land which would leave me with maybe $200K profit. We taxed the LLC as a partnership last year. I understand that a partnership pays no taxes but reports income, etc. Does that mean that the $200K could stay inside the LLC and not be distributed to members and hence not taxed?

Is it worth it to seek out a coach when you’re opening a small business?
Hi everyone! I am in the process of opening my own holistic healing business. After graduation and making my own social media platforms, I’ve been approached by several business coaches. I’ve considered hiring one because I’m not very knowledgeable on marketing and promotions. Many of them seem to be pretty expensive though so I haven’t taken the leap yet. I want to make sure it’s a worthwhile investment. Is this something that you all would recommend that a newcomer invests in?

Has anyone claimed their ERC Tax Credit (Employee Retention Credit)
I’ve been getting all kinds of mail from companies wanting us to claim our ERC tax credit. I’d rather use my accountant or someone local so they get the cut instead of companies like ‘Rocket ERC.’ Could I do this on my own or would it be better to use my accountant or one of these companies? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Startup cost reimbursement
Hey there. I just started my first business and I am wondering if I am able to reimburse myself of startups costs once business gets going? Let me put it this way. I spent 4-5k to get equipment and everything set up with my personal money that has already been subject to income tax. Let’s say I do 5k in sales over the next few months, can I pay myself back without income tax as a reimbursement of the startup costs? Would this be the same as spending money directly from the business account as it would to reimburse from business account if I used personal card?

Excessive Liability/Umbrella Insurance question - need info
Hello. I do side jobs like garage door repairs and service. Sole proprietorship, no employees. I recently talked to the maintenance man at the property i rent, and he said i should sign up as a vendor with the property manager to become their #1 repair guy for that stuff. Company is Greystar. They require general liability, for 1M/1M, which i have and presented. Then also down the line it, Umbrella is not ticked, but "Excessive Liability" is ticked. 1M per occurrence, 1M per aggregate. PICTURE> https://ibb.co/qYtH2pw How can i satisfy this requirement? Do i just bump my general liability to 2M/2M? Or do i need a separate policy? I spoke to a broker about getting an umbrella insurance and he submitted my info but nobody ever got back to me. Please help me get set up with this account! Is umbrella the same or would it also cover the excessive liability the same way? Just really confused about this.

If I add a new location to a different city in the same state do I need to update this to the IRS?
Hi everyone. I am trying to expand my small business to a new city in the same state, and I am trying to figure out how to update this for taxes and the IRS. I don't want to get rid of my old address, along with anything else that the government needs updated. I would just like to add the new one.

How to turn my blog into a business?
I am a lifestyle blogger on social and my shtick is helping young people navigate their twenties, "adulting" content, etc. For a while now, I've been going back and forth on how I can actually turn this into a business. I've toyed with the idea of digital downloads, courses, etc., but I feel like there's something else here I can tap into and am just missing. If anyone has any thoughts or ideas, that would be greatly appreciated!
