Struggling

Okay, I run a small business making clothing for moms and littles. Mainly bamboo and some cotton and polyester. My sales have gone down a LOT recently and I’m not really sure how to keep them up. I’m at the point where I can only afford to do preorders and I can’t really afford some of my bills anymore (bills not pertaining to the business). I’m trying to find out where is a good place to promote myself, for the tune being I’m just going to focus on dresses and not much else.

Looking for hands on business ideas

I love working with my hands. I don’t mind being 20-30% of my time on a computer but ideally I would love to be able to do something and see the final result. I am a women and all home service business I can think of are cleaning and organizing. I would love some more ideas from you’ll. *Also thinking about maybe buying a dry cleaning business, in case someone here owns one I would love to connect.

Asking a web designer not to link themselves on your website - fair or unfair?

I'm in the process of hiring someone to redesign our website and during the contract phase found a provision that they will include a link to their designers page saying "Designed by X". A quick check of 10 companies in our field shows that 9 don't have that and the 1 that does is the worst of our bunch. I don't want to be a jerk about it since the designer is someone we use for other projects, but I also don't want a plug for their website on *our* website. What do other business owners think, is this fair or unfair?

Question about making quarterly estimated taxes

Situation: Started my business in April, landed my first client in May and got paid, via a payment processing service on May 30th. Problem: The payment processing service put a 21 day hold on my money on May 30th. Lesson learned: Use direct bank xfer next time! Questions: 1) Does the client payment count as May income even though I can't access it? 2) If so, should I pay estimated taxes on the income (paid to me in May) by the June deadline? 3) Am I overthinking this? Thanks...

Planning to start my own Pest Control business. Advice wanted

Hello, for better context, this is in Oklahoma, I have recently passed my core exam and am scheduled to test 7a general pest, I plan to get fumigation and structural at a later date so I can include mosquitos and termite treatment in my services but would like to establish a base with general pest control first. in order to register to be a certified applicator I'll need to start my own LLC and have a business location, I was wondering if I could put my business location as my own house as I would like to slowly ride this through before starting up a shop, however, it is very unlikely to be a good investment for me as I plan to make this a 1 man operation and the shop would be useless if I'm always out working and have to lock up. any advice?

Errors & Omissions Ins. Annual Updates?

LLC owner - had my ins. co. request a copy of my latest Sched. C and an estimate of next year of revenue... Is this typical? This is about the end of the first year of coverage. It feels like I'm just shipping off a ticket for them to raise my rates. If I don't send their notice says they'll cancel the policy automatically.

Driving traffic

I’ve been having a hard struggle driving traffic to my own website. So I slowly resorted to selling on eBay but last year killed any profits due to eBay’s fees and weird shipping payments. My first year and a half I did amazing on my website but I slowly stopped posting on Instagram due to mental health stresses. Slowing my website traffic. Which lead me to only sell on eBay’s platform. I am now I’m having a hard time building my traffic back to my Instagram and website. Especially since Instagram is now run by reels and I haven’t quite figured them out. Would love any tips and tricks to get the flow back going. Im the sole person so bouncing ideas with others is never something I’m able to do.

How do holidays work on a 4 day workweek?

We want to go from 8x5 to a 10x4 workweek. Same 40 hours but over 4 days. However when there is a holiday like Memorial Day, are we expected to give 10 hours pay or 8 hours pay? Also what if the holiday falls on a Friday when people don't normally work? Any advice would be appreciated.

POS + e-commerce recommendations for specialty auto shop.

We are a very niche auto shop, so most of the POS systems I have reviewed have features that we don't need - like scheduling. I believe we're looking for a simple solution, basic POS and e-commerce (or something that integrates with squarespace or something similar). In addition to selling parts and products, it would be helpful to have an option to sell a "job" - like a timing belt adjustment - and have that generate an invoice with all of the individual parts involved. Think of the "job" as a folder that contains multiple parts/products/items. This may be a mega-basic thing, but my experience in this area is limited so any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Best way to promote a service?

Man it’s been really tough. I am working on phone repair / it service / computer repair and construction company. I am having trouble advertising my service. I’ve used Craigslist, but I am getting a few hits but not enough Facebook removed my marketplace ad, same with OfferUp. Unfortunately these platforms go against their terms. Does anyone have suggestions? I also have a day job.

The unwinding of the blank-check stock frenzy — one of Wall Street's hottest pandemic-era trends — is playing out its last act on a different stage: the courtroom. The feverish boom in SPACs has spawned a wave of litigation, with dozens of cases filed by burned investors working their way through court. In the last few months alone, they've taken aim at so-called Spac King Chamath Palihapitiya; billionaire Alec Gores; British entrepreneur Richard Branson; and Bill Foley, owner of the NHL’s Las Vegas Golden Knights. The lawsuits claim SPAC executives made millions by pushing through deals that allowed them to cash in their deeply discounted founder shares — creating a strong incentive to complete acquisitions, even if lofty valuations and overly optimistic business plans posed long-term risks to other shareholders.
