Widespread Adoption of Crypto and the Future
Hey all. I was chatting with a friend about crypto the other day and they mentioned something interesting to me. I'm not sure if it's been discussed here before (not sure if reddit or this subreddit has any kind of a search), but I the discussion was about what ethical and societal implications would arise from the widespread adoption of cryptocurrency. If everyone and their grandma knew about Crypto, had easy access to it, and it was readily integrated into our lives, what would people discuss and talk about? Right now a lot of the conversation is about what money and future promise. Assuming those things are already past (coin price flux is pretty stable and it's well integrated into our lives), what would be left to talk about or discuss? Would technologies built on environmentally unfriendly blockchains be targeted or boycotted? Would people avoid tech with coins that had a shady rise? Would the average person still be looking for the next big coin? What do you all think?
