What has been the most significant development/progress to the tech in the last 2 years and who are the players in the space?
I thought it might be a good opportunity to have a discussion about what is actually happening in the space rather than have another āanalyst decides moons are worth $5ā post. I myself am not overly involved in the tech or have the slightest idea of how it works, but we have been in a pretty extended bear market despite the recent pumps, and I would assume a number of projects have continued to make significant developments during that time, or new projects with bold ideas have come out. I know moons and their potential impact on social networks has become a theme of the sub, but is there anything else that has started the next wave of progress in the space?

R/CC Pro Tip: Correctly using the Remind Me bot as either your passive-aggressive cudgel or fistbump for this sub
Seeing a particular "(Coin or Token X) will be (1/100/1000/1 million) dollars in 2025, trust me bro" post that annoys the hell out of you? Or what about seeing a favourite crypto mentioned and want to support OP with a prediction? The Remind Me bot is your new best friend. For both scenarios the correct invocation of the bot will be: RemindMe! 2 years You'll soon receive a confirmation message from the bot to ensure it's locked in. You'll get a message referencing the post link at the future time yoive nominated. You can parse it way down to RemindMe! 10 minutes for example for that extra pedantic heft also. Personally, I'm enough of a small and petty little man to have used RemindMe! 15 years here solely so I can come back and "Well, actually, no" someone from the far future š

Chart checking addiction - The psychology reason why we are always looking at our portfolio.
Greetings from Portugal! The reason why we keep checking our portfolio is a psychological effect called **āpositive intermittent reinforcementā**. Basically, it's based on traditional conditioning principles in psychology where an award is given for each successful demonstration of a desired action. It's easy to assume that most of our crypto is far from their ATH, and that can cause some anxiety. If you check it more frequently, chances are that instead of being 35% lower than the ATH, you'll focus on being 10% higher since you checked last month. Make your best efforts into self control in order to fight this urge. When you consider the **psychology of loss and gain, your mental will always lose when you check frequently.** By checking the price monthly or twice a month, you can see bitcoin's actual price movement rather than the random results of daytraders. I would love to ear the community thoughts on this! Thanks!

Are there any plans to make bitcoin more user friendly?
I started investing in bitcoin since 2017, only because a relative explained how everything works and advised what wallet and exchange to use etc. If no one introduced me to bitcoing and helped me figure out how things work and safely store my coins, I don't think I would have invested in crypto until today otherwise . I personally think there are a lot of individuals that have heard of blockchain but not taking the leap to invest because the learning curve is pretty high to get comfortable to put serious money into. That's why I think a spot ETF is also going to help a lot because it makes it much easier to invest because you dont have to self custody the coins and impossible to lose them. Just wondering, are there any ideas out there or being worked on to make it easier for new people to enter the space?

What current problem in the world could crypto solve right now?
Crypto currency is for many still a theoretical concept - while some constitutions and even countries are experimenting with the tech. Unstable economies like Venezuela and Turkey are seeing huge positive effects of having a Ā«stableĀ» alternative to run to, while their own currency are suffering. Letās say for countries with strong economic standpoints - what use do you mean crypto has right now? I have a few ideas myself - but i donāt want these to affect the comments the post will receive. Also what sector within crypto do you think will flourish with the solutions to your given problems?
