Minutes after wrapping up their interview on NBC’s “Today” show, Jeneda Benally and her dog were about to step out of the set’s backstage area when Kesha approached them. “OMG, is that him?! the pop star exclaimed. “Is that THE dog? Mr. Happy Face?” “Yes,” Benally replied that early June morning. “You’re welcome to pet him if you’d like.” The singer, who sported a beige cape suit and matching heels, stroked the few tufts of gray hair on Mr. Happy Face’s head as the Chinese crested Chihuahua mix, 17, looked her straight in the eyes, the kind of gaze he’d adopted since recently winning the title of world’s ugliest dog. “This was the moment when perfection and perfect in his very own unique way met,” Benally said. Has choking your sexual partner become normalised? It’s certainly extremely common. No doubt there are violent or just confused men exploiting the rise in choking. But I often hear a different story. Once, the worst sexual review a man could get was that he was “bad in bed”; now, it’s being “vanilla in bed”. Internet porn has convinced men that they should want to choke, and women that they like it. Or, at least, don’t hate it. 🔗 Click the link in our bio to read Hadley's full story #sexeducation #sexualsaftey

✍️ Maggie Alderson writes: Well, it turns out you can successfully freeze a wedge of brie. I certainly wasn’t sure when I threw an accidental cheese over-purchase into my freezer back in December, wondering if I would ever dare eat it. 🗣 Now I can tell you: it thaws perfectly, ready to ooze onto a cracker. Had I not given myself the challenge, last month, of buying no more food until my freezer was empty, I would probably never have found this out. 🧀 Most likely, that cheese would have been transferred directly from freezer to bin, to make way for a more palatable new deposit. Which it would have taken some skill to cram in, because – while I have fully taken on the Marie Kondo philosophy with the rest of my uncluttered house – I realise I am a freezer hoarder. ➡️ Click the link in bio to read how Maggie got on with her challenges and the delicious meals she cooked along the way #health #moneysaving #lifestyle

Colour-coding stairways and separate wings: rising living costs are trapping divorcees under one roof. Since no-fault divorces were introduced in England and Wales last April, removing the need for separating couples to play the blame game or stay together for two years until they can start divorce proceedings, 2023 is set to herald a 23% spike in the divorce rate — the biggest rise in more than 50 years, the global professional services company PwC predicts. But in a climate of rising living costs, the emotions involved in moving on may pale in comparison with the financial reality of starting again as a single person. More than a third of couples considering divorce will stay together due to the cost of living crisis, according to research by the law firm Stowe Family Law. 🔗 Link in bio for the full story
