A few of my favorite zinnia discoveries during last nights walk through the breeding greenhouse dedicated to the Dawn Creek selections. All of these special little creatures were originally discovered in seed that came from dawncreekfarm and I’ve spent the last 4 years working on isolating unique traits like giant tufted blooms, fuzziness, laciniated petal tips, soft coloring, brown centers… I’m so grateful to Kori for sharing her early breeding work with me, it’s pure magic! #growingfloret #floretseeds

Out doing product photos tonight & I’m not sure what I’m more excited about…. that King’s Ransom is starting to set seed, the gorgeous sunset that came out of nowhere or the few raindrops that started falling while I was taking pictures. Living in the PNW I never thought I would wish for rain but it’s been such a hot & dry spring we could really use it.
