Do you know? The last supernova that exploded in the pinwheel galaxy (before SN2023ixf) was only 12 years ago!

What happens to all the non-fissonable stuff drawn into the sun?
I assume that "it burns" doesn't even begin to cover it. Does at all break down into a "soup" of individual atoms or what? Also, how much of the sun is made up of unfissionable stuff drawn in by gravity?

Concerns on astrophotography
Hi everyone, I recently bought my first telescope and I am already addicted to astronomy even I have always been interested in space. I would like to delve deeper into this hobby and pursue astrophotography. However, I am concerned about the increasing number of satellites being sent into space (such as Starlink, etc.). I am hesitant to invest a significant amount of money in a hobby that might become outdated within a few years. What are your thoughts on this? I have a feeling that in 10-20 years, observing space will only be possible directly from space. Thanks

How soon we will be alerted for a Betelgeuse's explosion?
Hello there is much noise in YouTube about Betelgeuse in last month. Are there active netrino or other detectors which will be alert the general public about a supernova? How soon? Days? Hours? Will the general public should be alerted or just the scientists? Are there angles of radiation hitting earth which are dangerous to burn all the earth like supernova Geminga did in the past? Thanks.

Hi guys! Just a couple questions about Space Camp!
My father is part of the United States Air Force. About 4 weeks ago my mother received an email basically stating that me (14f) and my older brother (17m) could apply for scholarships to NASA's camps through a military based program. I applied for Mach II and Cyber Camp, and began to be super excited about possibly attending. Earlier today I got a phone call telling me that I was accepted for scholarship and could attend Mach II camp! I'm super excited about this and it seems lie it will be super fun! I just have a few questions. After doing a quick google or two, I can't really find any photos or videos of anything that its like. I can't find videos about what you do there or like how it works. Obviously the website says what its about, but I like to be able to visualize what its like before I attend. Does anyone have any input or comments on what Mach II Aviation Challenge is like?
