It’s been a little while since I’ve made flowers for a wedding (we used to do so many every summer) and I’d forgotten just how much I love the process, especially when the bride is relaxed and open to letting us use whatever looks best in the garden. I always hold aside the most beautiful flowers and magical bits for the bride’s bouquet, which is the most important arrangement of the entire wedding. This bouquet includes: Roses Abraham Darby and Sally Holmes, Ninebark seed cases, Astilbe Bridal Veil and Vision Inferno, Sweet Pea Mollie Rilstone, Yarrow Summer Berries, Quaking Grass, Foxglove Apricot Beauty, unripe blueberries on the stem and Pennycress. We finished the bouquet with silk ribbon which was left long so it’d blow in the breeze. #ayearinflowers #farmerflorist
