HAGS (hags_nyc), the newest addition to New York's restaurant scene, proclaims itself a queer fine dining restaurant, and it intends to revolutionize fine dining. The tiny space in the East Village offers tasting menus that accommodate all sorts of dietary restrictions, and the space has a thoughtfulness and intention geared at accessibility for all. Sunday dinner is pay-what-you-can and co-owners Camille Lindsley and Telly Justice created the space to make trans folks feel comfortable in ways beyond simply degendering bathrooms.
