Update: Stuffie Left at Hotel
Idk how to link previous posts, but if anyone is curious you can check my post history. Some of you might remember that I posted last week, panicking because after a family trip to London (we're US based) we discovered that a beloved stuffie had been left at the hotel. I am happy to report that the stuffie is officially home!!! I'm so thrilled đ He did get stuck in customs at one point, and I had to spend a lot of time on the phone with UPS international shipping support, but he is officially back with us where he belongs. Thank you all for your support and kind words on my original post. This group helped stem the panic I was feeling and kept me hopeful when I was worried about never getting him back. I love you ladies so much â¤ď¸

Whatâs an appropriate punishment for stealing school lunch?
I got an email from the principal today that my child (14) and another student were eating pizza in the lunch line, then only paid for the snacks they were holding, not the pizzas. Before you say it might have been an accident, I can guarantee it was not. There was another incident a while back and her âfriendsâ have also stolen from stores. We are dealing with some other issues, but Iâm at a loss. The principal made her return to the line and pay. She was very upset and crying, he said. But what can I do thatâs purposeful? Screen time? Tried it. Forbid seeing certain friends? Tried that. UghhhhhâŚthis is why some animals eat their young đ

I'd rather make a strong pot of coffee and enjoy the only ME time I get per day. Anyone else?

"What would you do if I got a girl pregnant?"
Says my fourteen year old. I nearly fucking died. The racing thoughts. The anxiety. Trying to figure out who it could be. What to say - be supportive, be realistic? I land on "Well, what you want me to do?" "Look after it." Come ON. I'm not even thirty! Too young to be a freakin grandpa! I'm panicking at this point, for real, trying to do the mental math. Then, obviously, he laughed, and my husband starts cracking up in the kitchen, and my heart finally calms down. Then, "The only girl I'd have sex with has a dick too." So, apparently, this was their way of telling me his lil parter is experimenting with gender. I am so proud of them but oh my FUCKING god. This has got to be abuse of some kind. I feel light-headed. I don't know what kind of monster my son has become but I am not proud. He's happy with himself, though. And I'm going shopping tomorrow, apparently.

Help! Baby sleeping face down??
First time parents! Our 7 month old recently transitioned from bassinet (Snoo) to crib in a sleep sack. We follow safe sleep guidelines. Baby has enjoyed sleeping on side over past few weeks (always put down on back). A few times baby has made her way to belly. Today I found her sleeping like this on her belly with her right arm under head basically pressing face into mattress. She did wind up having a pacifier in her mouth. It was about time to get up so I woke her up, but now concerned about this happening in middle of night??? She sleeps through the night. If she got herself to this position is it ok??

Who says it gets better after 4 months?
My baby just turned 4 months and this week she just seems to have gotten worse. She wails all day (literally screaming crying) with no apparent reason. Is she teething? What the heck is going on? Why do people say it gets easier after 4 months?

For those of you who had sunny side up babies...
For those who had a sunny side up baby, when you went into labor, were your contractions mostly in your back? Was up from 3am to 530am, dealing with the typical braxton hicks or maybe false labor like contractions but they are more frequent now and hurting in my back. Also, in general, what was your labor experience like with a sunny side up baby? I'm nervous.

My 7 month old wonât eat any veggies.
My baby has loved every type of fruit that I have introduced to her but she wonât eat any veggies. At first she was OK with Carrot and she seemed to like sweet potatoes, but most days she wonât even eat those now. She is only 7 months old and I am a little bit at a loss because I always thought kids donât become picky until the toddler age. Iâve tried feeding the veggies first so sheâs hungrier but she would rather just not eat. Iâve also mixed fruit and veggie purĂŠes together and that helps but sheâs not crazy about it. Should I stop feeding her fruit altogether to get her to eat the veggies? Iâm a little miffed because her grandfather fed her bananas as soon as I told him we were giving her infant cereal, when I had planned to give her fruits later on so she wouldnât want only sweet things. Maybe itâs his fault, maybe itâs not but every time she rejects another veggie I find myself cursing his name under my breath. Has anyone else dealt with this? What worked for you?

10 year old goes through a lot of toilet paper/paper towels. No not for that
He goes through possibly a roll a day just blowing his nose. He uses what appears to be fistfuls of toilet paper to blow his nose once. Then he throws them in the bathroom trash instead of flushing them. Or itâs paper towels of which he uses like one at a time. If I buy the kid a box of tissues he burns through that quickly then goes back to wasting the other paper products in the house. The hell kind of behavior is this?

Is there any sleep in my future?
We have a 6 week old. Born at 35 weeks, so maybe it'll take us a bit longer. Just wondering what some others have experienced when it comes to even slightly longer stretches at night? We are still at mostly every 2 hrs, sometimes 3hrs.... sometimes we get really lucky with cluster feedings at night. I've heard from some friends getting 7-8hrs overnight by the time baby is 8 weeks old, but that just seems crazy. I know every baby is different... but just wanted to hear others experience? Really feeling like a zombie

7, nearly 8 yr old girl - what is with this age?!
Just want to know I'm not alone and my child isn't in fact turning into a horror!! My daughter is a few months off 8. The last few months it's like a switch has flicked. She's always been fairly emotional and prone to 'outbursts' and anger/frustration/upset. But she was also one of the most loving and affectionate and empathetic kids. Now she's just super moody. Rejecting most affection. Gone from thinking I'm the best thing since sliced bread to often seemingly thinking I'm just an annoying imbecile! She's rude, she seems quite self centered. Seems less concerned about other people and their feelings. I've heard of the Adrenarche. I'm guessing this is it?! But is this normal?!

How will my babysitter tell the difference from my babies pacifier and other babies?
My 12 week old will start going to the babysitter while Iâm working next week. Itâs in home care with 4 other baby/toddlers. I noticed when I visited that another baby uses the same type of pacifier (Phillips avent). Any tips to make sure they donât get mixed up? He primarily uses it when falling asleep, so I donât want to add the strap thing to it.

Husband doesnât want me scheduling his weekend doing stuff with his kids
I mean thatâs basically what he is saying. He told me not to schedule stuff for him on the weekends. My kid just wants to go to the Monster Truck show and sure itâs 7pm on the weekend after my boyâs bedtime but this world is psychotic and I want to make memories together. I asked my husband do you want to go or I will go with him. Then he says donât schedule stuff for him during his weekend. Literally told him I will go, he can stay home and jack off I donât give a fuck what he does because he sure as hell isnât waking up to give a baby a bottle or changing diapers. What a fucking selfish thing for him to say. I am just over giving two shits trying to do things as a family. No walks together. No visiting a park together. Not sure what we do together anymore that my husband doesnât bitch at me about . Apparently spending time with your family falls into the destroying his weekend plans category.

Having a baby at 79
Just read that Robert de Niro has just had 7th child! Can u believe that? Men can procreate until their dying breathe whereas women are lucky if they can in their esrly 40s. Can not imagine having a newborn at 79!! Jesus
