Do some asanas bring you to tears?
I *always* cry during balancing poses, started practicing yoga 12 years ago & I never sought out why, but it feels like whatever I’m focusing on in the distance, like the above was other far away trees past my outstretched finger tips, becomes extremely profound & I am then overwhelmingly grateful to be alive- has anyone else felt this too?

Sore back after backbends
I keep reading that backbends are meant to help back pain, but I get sore after I do them on my low back. Any tips to improve my form and make sure I’m not hurting myself?

Do you clean your yoga blocks?
Recently had a friend catch a staph infection from what she speculated came from yoga blocks within the studio that are seldom cleaned. Which makes me wonder - how often and with what cleaning solution is the most tried and true method for cleaning them?

Tricep strain during downward dog
I started doing yoga years ago but didn't last very long, I am back and have been doing yoga for the past three months. I'm using yoga as a supplement to my weight training to help improve flexibility and core strength. I'm pretty fit and for some reason whenever I am in downward dog or high plank my triceps feel strained to the point that I have to move out of the position to shake out my arms. I have strong triceps and I try to adjust my arm placement by moving my elbows inward. No matter what they just always seem to be strained and feel like they're on fire. Has anyone else experienced this? Looking for some sort of answer to help me continue my practice. I've already searched the subreddit and no similar topics appear.

gradually I lost all of my motivition to do yoga
I have been practicing yoga for more then a year now. I really got into it a the start, practicing 3-4 times a week. after some time I decided to start a yoga teaching class, in order to deepen my connection with yoga. I think that was a big mistake. I feel like the teaching class made me lose interest in yoga, and I don't know why. I just know for sure that ever sience I started it my interest in yoga went down hill. I still go to the gym, and I really enjoy that, so it is not my depression kicking it , I don't think so, it is something specefily with yoga. I think that I may started the teaching class way too soon in my journy with yoga, that I may not like yoga as much I thought I'm. there is not much point to this post, but I'm curious if someone had a similar experience?

Strengthening progress!
I posted recently about resuming yoga after wrist surgery and got some good advice about alternative poses. I just wanted to celebrate that I was able to bear weight in downward dog this morning! I was careful not to push it too hard or hold it too long, but I had absolutely no issues with it at all! Super happy to be seeing the proof of all my hard work!

Transitions practice
Hey everybody - I would love to practice transitions - especially from seated to chaturanga, downward dog to seated, etc. I don’t just want to use momentum, and want to learn to do these smoothly and gracefully, but with strength and breath. Does anyone know of any tutorials? Thank you!

Free yoga app?
I’m looking for a free yoga app that has no subscriptions. I’ve tried looking through the App Store, but everything I’ve seen, the apps are free to download, but then have these crazy subscriptions you have to purchase. Does anyone have any suggestions?
