I hate to break it to ya, but even if you have a C section, it’s pretty likely you’re going to have what feels like the longest period of your life. For 2 - 6 weeks you'll have vaginal bleeding regardless of what exit your baby used. (Nope, you don't skip this step even though you just went through major surgery. It's not fair, I know.) You'll need to stock up on maxi-pads, depends or disposable underwear (fridababy makes some nice ones). Tampons and menstrual cups are a no go because they can increase your chance of getting an infection. Just another treat that comes with motherhood.
