Is it common for analog astronauts to be chosen as actual astronauts?
Is it common for analog astronauts to be chosen as actual astronauts? What are the names of some analog astronauts (missions similar to HERA or others where the primary goal is seeing how astronauts behave when living in closed environments together for a long period of time) that were selected for astronaut training?

Military Base Lodging and Watch Sites for Cape Canaveral?
I have a DD Form 2765 ID that gives me access to most military bases, and was wondering if there is base lodging and/or any watch sites base side? I have never been to Cape Canaveral myself, but I want to surprise my wife with a trip there for her birthday which is on July 7th currently scheduled for a falcon heavy launch. She is an aerospace engineer and has never seen a rocket launch in person. We live in northwest Atlanta, so it will be about a 8 hour drive and plan to drive there on Thursday the 6th and stay for the weekend. Any information would be helpful, thanks.
