Help with business website

Hey all- Had a business idea to sell clothes on through my own website but not too familiar with how e-commerce really works. I wanted to see if it’s was possible to sell other brands through my website, but once an order is placed, it’s handled through that brand. As far as packaging and shipping, and my website just acts as a middle man. I was curious on the best way to go about it, as far as possible issues that can be faced, liabilities, and the best way to structure this business. Anything helps, looking to learn!

SIMPLE 401k

I am looking to start up a Simple 401k. I've called a few banks and investment firms. While they offer them the customer support so far is lacking. Im finding that they do not call back or tell me to download some forms and send them in. But do not offer any help with the forms. If you have a simple 401k who do you have it with? Does anyone have someone they work with good customer service? Any ideas on where to go would be helpful.

How to handle equipment being used personally and for business?

I started a business with a partner and we are 50/50 managing managers of the LLC in the State of Texas ONLY (Incorporation and operations) We are using one of our personal trucks for business operations for now. The truck is also being used personally as frequent or more often than it is for business use. What would be the most fair and effective way to handle paying any and all costs associated with the vehicle? Fuel, maintenance such as oil or tire repairs, tires, insurance, monthly finance payments, etc. How do you legally and easily keep personal and business use of the vehicle separate?

Can I convert and LLC to DBA and keep the same name/EIN number?

I filed for an LLC about two years ago, and I didn't realize I could've just gone for a DBA and avoid paying $500 every year to keep it running (MA). I'm basically a freelancer, have no employees and just do programming. I want to keep my business name and EIN number, is that possible? I'm not sure what to do after I file for cancellation... Thanks in advance for any help on this!

As a small business, what do you use to send an invoice to a client for a bill? I wasn't sure if there was some, "generally accepted software" or system to use, I can think that simply giving them your name and bank can be difficult?

Starting a business.

Does anyone know if there is a guide that summarizes the pros and cons of the most popular types of businesses (S corp, LLC, sole proprietorship, etc...) , and itemises the minimum steps you take, both initially and operationally? Most of my Google searches have so many scammy services, it's not simple to separate the chaff. It would be nice to get an idea of the requirements, time, effort, and cost involved in each option before deep diving into one before adopting it.

Filing Taxes…

So I live in the US and started my small business a year and a half ago and this is my first full year filing my taxes for my business. I work in the beauty industry and I’m sure everyone here knows that the first year is TOUGH. I ended up making around 16k for the year, my business expense write offs were about 11k. I did my taxes on turbo tax and it says I still have to pay $814 for federal taxes… Very confused since my net income was 5k and now they want to take almost a thousand of that? How do they expect people to survive off of 4k a year? Am I doing something wrong or does this sound correct?

Navy Fed Business Plan?

Was approved for a Navy Fed account today - in the next 2 years, I plan to open a business checking account with them, and eventually get a business credit card with them. The plan is: Today - Got approved, will use them for my Emergency Funds Sometime in the next 6 months - Open business checking account 1YR - Apply for Personal Credit Card 2YR - Apply for Business credit card. Do you think having the personal credit card and a little time with a business checking with them will improve the likelihood I get a decent business credit limit? I've been reading that strenghtening the relationship with the credit union through personal and business accounts with a little bit of time is the best way to go. Thanks for any comments, sorry if this is in the wrong place!

Cost of intellectual property license (f. ex."Coca-Cola" or "AC/DC") on a T-shirt?

Doing some research, I found out you need to find the IP owner in order to get permission to print T-shirts w/ brand names. I understand some require an upfront fee whereas others take a percentage of revenue. Does anybody know what these fees tend to be, for the larger companies? What is the most I can expect?

How to advertise / what socials to use

Hi! I own a business that deals with digital investigation. I will be selling my services to customers so I don’t really have a ‘product’ the same way (for example) a chocolate business would. I feel like I can’t make reels / tiktoks because it’s not that kind of thing! I have an Instagram business account but that’s it 1. Do you think that’s a good idea? 2. How do I get followers on insta if I’m not doing reels? 3. What else can I do? 4. How else do I advertise? And how else using socials? Thank you so much to anyone who helps!!

Do I have to pay any fees or franchise tax after opening up an LLC for 4 months?

I made a sole proprietorship LLC 4 months ago and I decided the business was not for me. I made no profits / revenue and had no expenses. Do I still have to pay any fees or franchise tax? I was able to terminate the LLC recently without the state sending me any additional documents, just anxious if there might be anything else. Thanks!

Unemployment- what can I expect to pay out when I fire someone?

We have a sales guy that is trending quickly to being fired. How does that actually work with unemployment? Does our unemployment insurance go up and how much? Would we owe anything else? We are in an at will state
