How much taller should I expect to be once I fix my posture? I have kyphosis and FHP.

Something in me is resisting the healing

I know I’m not alone in this because I’ve spoken to a friend from my meditation class and she feels the same, but am looking for insight. Tw:self harm Why, when I am meditating or practising asanas, does some darker part of me insist on resisting the healing and the good vibes? Why does a part of me want to stay sad, and believes that I’m not worthy or deserving of feeling any better? I hope this isn’t too much info for this sub but last night at meditation, my brain kept returning to planning out how I would/could hurt myself and punish myself for some perceived unworthiness. It’s more than rogue thoughts popping up during meditation, it’s more a resistance to the very idea of meditation itself.

Back rounding in Malasana and extended child’s pose?

I’ve been filming some poses lately and have noticed my back is extremely rounded in extended child pose and especially in malasana (hard to keep my feet from collapsing inwards as well). My hips feel relatively open as I can sit in the squat, and extended child’s pose is comfortable, so I’m wondering if my hamstrings are the issue (although I can touch palms flat on the floor in forward fold), or a part of my spine? Or a weak core? Im just wondering what I should focus on strength/flexibility wise as I notice I will get a sore lower back if I hold malasana for too long and I’d like to be able to straighten my back and get the full benefits from the pose. Any ideas or tips? Thank you in advance !!

when does the mental/spiritual stuff happen

Just started doing yoga recently for a few weeks. And, I've been reading about all the mental/spiritual benefits of yoga. Those are some of the benefits that id love to cultivate, but honestly, I'm too busy trying to get into the right position and catching up that I find it extremely difficult to find that mindfulness and peace the instructor is talking about. When does the mental aspect and calmness stuff happen? Idk, maybe I'm just frustrated.

How long does my yoga teacher have to give me my certificate?

So long story short, the person I took yoga school under is such a bad, negative person, I was also renting a space from her and ended that lease and she blew up on my cussing at me and very unprofessional in the end( this was March 30 when I ended lease) — ANYWAYS, We completed yoga school on Jan 22. Have yet to receive completion certificate, and it’s April 10. There was only 3 of us in the class, and the other 2 are her friends. So I’m wondering if she thinks she not going to give it to me? I have asked another person I took the class with if they have gotten theirs and they have also said no, but not sure if I believe them or not considering they are friends.

Bone stabbing me when doing Knees-To-Chest stretch

Good morning! Whenever I try to lay on my back and do the Knees-To-Chest stretch, my LEFT pelvis bone feels like its stabbing me and it hurts! It's the bones that you can see sticking out around your belt line. My right doesn't stab me; just the left! I also have stiffness around the left SI joint and lower back. What could this be???
