Would You Hire Someone Who Has Worked In The Cannabis Industry?
Hi, A friend of mine owns a company with around 60 employees. The other day he interviewed a young woman for a position and, according to him, she seemed like she'd be a good fit. The only problem is her work history included about five years working in the legal cannabis industry in Colorado. This concerned him enough to disregard her application completely. I thought that was strange, seeing as he thought she was great otherwise. My question for this group is would you discount a potential employee simply because they used to work for a weed company? If so, why? Thank you!

Customer damaged my property, but is threatening to counter sue
I run an indoor car storage business. I had a new customer come pull their car in (brand new Ferrari) but they were going to pull it into the wrong bay; so I told him to back up and pull into the other bay. As he’s backing up, he hits the keypad for the security gate and breaks it at the base. His brand new Ferrari has a nick in the bumper the size of a dime. My keypad was $900 to replace (keep in mind this was the day before hurricane Ian when it happened, couldn’t find anyone to repair it until this week). He’s refused to pay for the repair and threatened to counter sue, because I “directed him” to back up and his car was damaged. He’s a rich prick, and I think he would try to drown me and my business if he had the chance. Thoughts?

Rent my own apartment from myself?
I have been running a small "craft business" on the side for a while, simply filing sole proprietor taxes on a schedule C, deducting the 300sqft home office space I used inside my house. My wife and I recently purchased a 4plex building. We will live in one of the units and rent out the other 3. There is no home office space for me to continue working on my crafts in my own unit. I would like to set up shop in one of the other apartments. What is the best way to do this? Are there any pitfalls I should be aware of? I believe I should set up a lease agreement with my sole-prop crafting business, and pay my landlord account from my craft business account each month. I suspect that I will usually make roughly the same amount of profits each month as the fair monthly rental price would be, so I am basically just "forfeiting" potential rental income for the opportunity to have a workspace and (possibly, one day) make it a more profitable side-business. Thoughts?

Big neighbourhood👀 must be something I can do about it?
Hi Community 👋 so recently I’ve been doing a lot of deliveries via Uber eats and whatever not. I’ve been going up and down so many roads and thought is there anything I can sell door to door. Each road has about 70 houses and parking outside. So I thought why not start a portable jet wash company, so print business cards and post to 70 houses and clean their cars. But equipment is to expensive. With the same concept I thought I could tint car windows as well with printed business cards. Any other services I could provide them to earn cash. Thanks 🙏🏽

Subscription Website monetization question
I've been working on a webapp (dynamic website) for my own personal use and trying to think through what are some possible paths to monetization. My current idea is to provide most of the app functionality free and then if I can sign up enough users try a premium model. Am I thinking about turning an app/website into a business correctly. Is it simply focusing on growing a user base first and then, a matter of conversion of free users to paid. Any advice from those who have grown a similar business would be appreciated
