I don’t brag much about my food, because I’m generally a pretty good cook. At least that’s what I’m told. But I gotta tell you
I can cook a chicken soup that’ll knock your socks off. I never get tired of making this.

This is a dish that my parents made as a child and I’ve constantly been making it. Fresh chicken soup is the medicine to the soul. House was sick a bunch over the last month, and this nursed us back to health better than anything else. I’ll start with two whole chickens, filtered water, bunch of carrots, bunch of celery, celery root, cabbage, bunch of parsnips, bunch of parsley and dill tied together, two medium onions charred (this is what helps make the soup clear), 1 leek, two heads of garlic. Salt and pepper to taste, but I’ll usually add about 3-4 tablespoons salt for my big stock pot. Then add more as needed throughout the process. Bring it to a boil, then let simmer for 2-3 hours until the chicken is falling off the bone.

Do your prep-meals suck?

I tried meal prep for 3 months right before covid and it was the only time I actually calculated my calories and was able to become the leanest I’ve ever been. But my prep meals sucked! I could only enjoy them on day 1 and maybe day 2, but the rest was awful, if I had rice it would be like a paste, the meat would become dry, crusty things would be wet and so on.. Is there a useful tip? Because I really enjoyed cooking large portions, the fridge looked clean and saved me a lot of time. Also I invested a lot of money in glass containers now they’re just sitting on a shelf 😅 Sorry for the click-baity title
