I wanted to give you a little tour of my favorite hydrangeas growing here on the farm. Sorry in advance-itโ€™s a long one! We primarily grow the Peegee types and I love them because they are incredibly easy to grow, bloom abundantly on new wood (so you canโ€™t prune them wrong!), and are very hardy, so even if you have cold winters they will reliably bloom the next season. My favorite varieties are pretty much all provenwinners and include Bobo, Fire Light, Limelight, Little Lamb, Pinky Winky, Quick Fire, and Mega Mindy. #farmerflorist #flowerfarmer #growingfloret #hydrangea #hydrangeas

The many faces of โ€œHatโ€™s Panacheโ€, a dahlia that I hybridized two years ago. Parents were โ€œSpartacusโ€ and โ€œPeaches (N Cream)โ€. Over the last couple years, these plants were around 3โ€™ tall, but this year it shot up to over 6โ€™ tall from tubers that didnโ€™t look promising at all! Ahahah see last photo. Stems are the perfect width to design with, and if youโ€™ve been following along, you know how much I love me some red! Itโ€™s truly one of my favorites, checking all the boxes. Iโ€™m curious to see tuber production this year. Do you love it? Let me know below. #flowers #dahlia #flowerfarmer #farmerflorist #dahliagrower #dahlias #color #redflowers #fall

The dahlias have somehow managed to keep blooming despite the frost last week. The flowers that were in bud stage somehow survived and are now putting on quite a show. Foliage is still all damaged! Ahahah this has been my favorite corner for a bit: โ€œKick Offโ€, โ€œCrichton Honeyโ€, and โ€œDikara Jodieโ€ all fell onto each other creating a really beautiful moment! Happy Wednesday! More dahlia photos coming shortly! #flowers #dahlia #flowerfarmer #farmeeflorist #wedding #weddingflowers #flowerbulbs

Looking at the Instagram stats and it appears that 3% of the people who choose to follow Flirty Fleurs actually see my posts. Isnโ€™t that a hoot? 3%โ€ฆ So to the very few people who might see this post โ€” this is me saying HEY ๐Ÿ‘‹ to you and hoping you are having a nice day. ๐Ÿ˜˜ Photo from the last workshop at my studio.
