Great catch. (By both the bird and 📸 rohanlovalekar.) #accessibility text: Photo of a bird from the neck up, swallowing a fish whole with only the tail of the fish peeking out of the bird's beak.

Have you ever felt like you didn't belong? Just remember: You're not alone! Many people have felt like a misfit at some — or many!— points in their life. That was true for author Lidia Yuknavitch. In her TED Talk, she shared about what it was like to live through an abusive childhood, homelessness and the loss of a child. She said she never felt like she belonged and was full of self-doubt, even when things went well. Until she learned there is beauty in being a misfit and there's power in telling your story — especially the bad parts. "Your story deserves to be heard," she says. "Because you, you rare and phenomenal misfit, you new species, are the only one in the room who can tell the story the way only you would." Want to learn more? Visit the link in our bio to watch her full talk. #MondayMotivation

What’s pink, has forelimbs (but not hind-limbs), and spends most of its time underground? Meet the Mexican mole lizard (Bipes biporus)! This critter grows about 8.3 inches (21.1 centimeters) long, and each of its forelimbs is equipped with five clawed digits that are used for digging. It’s an ectotherm, which means its body temperature depends on its immediate environment. It tends to hang out closer to the surface during the early hours of the day, then burrows deeper below the surface as the Sun peaks. It snacks on a variety of fellow dirt-dwelling critters such as ants, worms, and termites. Photo: © Travis W. Did an apple really fall on Isaac Newton’s head? Is there gravity on the ISS? Did Schrödinger, uhh... murder a cat? Physics is all around us, and yet, most of us hardly understand it. Today, we’re going to answer some burning questions, all the way from electrons to atomic bombs.
