Butter Moon

I know this isn’t the best pic, but I think it’s really neat. This was the “Butter Moon” from March 6.

What is a recommended eyepiece for this scope?

What are good quality (but not too expensive) eyepieces would you recommend for a dobs Galileo G-135DB? It's a 6" f8 with a parabolic primary mirror.

The sky is bright yet the moon is still out with full force.

This May, unseasonably hot and dry weather helped drive extreme fire activity in northwestern Canada. Smoke from the fires crossed North America, triggering air quality alerts and hazy, red sunsets as far east as the U.S. Atlantic coast. Image Description: Satellite image of Earth’s northwestern quadrant, centered on the United States. The Atlantic and Pacific Oceans are solid blue framing the mostly brown land of the US. Hints are muddy green are visible especially in the northeast US. White clouds swirl around the whole image, almost entirely obscuring Canada and the Arctic. The northwestern portion of Canada, near the Rockies, is largely free of clouds, but it’s obscured by a huge, grayish plume of smoke. The smoke is swirling and reaching tendrils further south and east. #NASA #Space #Earth #Climate #SeenFromSpace
